Good-Bye Microsoft

We just thought that we would let our friends and family near and far, know that after 3 years of good times at Microsoft Jon has changed jobs. Jon is always looking for a challenge personally and professionally and he is excited to now be working for Russell Investment Group in Tacoma. This company has always been of intrigue to Jon. He will continue to be in Finacial Analysis, but is attracted to the truly small , yet global nature of this company and its role in the investment world. God has always been faithful to our family when it comes to our jobs. This is no exception. We are excited to be in a new place of employment. To God be the glory! Like all of Jon's jobs thus far, only he truly knows what it is that he does. However, check out www.russell.com for some insight into this company.

We have POOP!

Now this may sound a little strange and we apologize if we offend, but we have some news that is so exciting that we just had to share it. Many of you know that Jack has been toilet trained for sometime now when it comes to pee. That, he has down. Pooping on the toilet has been a whole other issue. We have pushed..it did not work..we ignored..no progress...we have bribed with the best of them. We cursed, laughed, cried and prayed. For the longest time..nothing. Then Just last week, light broke though, a new day dawned and finally...it happend. Typical to Lyons' personality genes, actual "on-the-toilet-pooping-under-his-own-power-and-will" occured on Jacks own timetable. This miracle of all miracles happen while we were at a friends house.(he is a perfomer) It happen just matter of factly. We danced. We screamed. We called dad to share the news. Jon and I then waited with baited breath. Would it happen again? To encourage a repeat performance Jack awoke the next morning with a gift from the "poop fairy" waiting for him. His very own light-up spiderman shoes. SIDENOTE: The "fairy" experiences love via shoes and therefore shows her love via shoes :) The fairy's gift promped performance after performance and we are thrilled to say that here on day number 10, Jack is a pooping pro! LIFE IS GOOD!

Pirates at Snoqualmie Falls?

Yes, you heard me correctly. Today there were crazy pirates on the loose at Snoqualmie Falls. Luckily they were good pirates! Jack Sparrow and his side-kick Bubby C were accompanied by their moms on an adventure hike down to enjoy the falls and a picnic. We had a wonderful time. Enjoyed the sunshine, good food (why is it that PP&J are always better outside?) and good friends. On our way back up "the mountain" our pirates found loads of treasures (packages of candy sporadically thrown about by mom) amongst the trees. This treasure hunt made the climb rapid and almost painless. How much better does does a spring day get. It is good to live here is Washington! PS-the "real" names of our friends that joined us are Jenny, Evan and Aidan Woods.
